Melissa is a video editor based in New York City. As of September 2018, she holds a position at CUNY-TV as a video editor for the network's various original programming.
Prior to her position with CUNY TV , Melissa worked with the Center for Puerto Rican Studies (CENTRO) at Hunter College for 7 years as one of the media producers on the media team. During her tenure with CENTRO, she worked on documentaries about the lives and contributions of prominent Puerto Rican figures which include: Rafael Hernandez, Pura Belpré, Frank Bonilla and Clemente Soto Velez. She was also one of the media producers who worked on the award winning show, Puerto Rican Voices, which broadcasted weekly on Puerto Rico TV, in Puerto Rico, and is currently broadcast at her current home base with CUNY-TV in New York City.
Melissa currently lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn NY, and in her free time loves to travel, catch up with what is going on in the fashion Plus Size world, and spending quality time with loved ones. She is also a huge fan of the late singer Selena, and is learning to Flamenco dance.
